He Is Risen — And So Is My Gratitude

Y'all, today was just one of those days.

We went to church this morning and I walked in carrying the usual — a little bit of tired, a little bit of grateful, and a whole lot of hope. And honestly? That's exactly what Easter Sunday does to you. The worship was good. Real good. The kind that gets into your chest and just stays there. The message hit the places it needed to hit, and I left reminded all over again of what this day is really about.

He is risen. And that changes everything.

We came home after service and I just... slowed down. Which, if you know me, you know that does not happen naturally. But today it did. I looked around at my home — this beautiful, comfortable, full-of-life home — and I felt it. That quiet kind of thankfulness that doesn't need any fanfare. Just a deep breath and a "Lord, thank You."

We ended the evening sharing Easter dinner with friends, and somewhere between the laughter and the food and the good conversation, it hit me — a lot has changed in a year. A whole lot. Some of it was hard. Some of it was surprising. And some of it was more beautiful than I could've planned for myself. But all of it? All of it was covered.

That's the thing about the Lord's provision — it doesn't always look like what you expected. Sometimes it looks like a healthy family sitting around a table. Sometimes it looks like friends who show up and stay. Sometimes it looks like a season finally shifting after you weren't sure it ever would.

Today I didn't need a big revelation or a mountaintop moment. I just needed Easter Sunday to do what it always does — remind me that the story isn't over, the tomb is still empty, and there is always, always something to be grateful for.

If you had a good Easter, soak it in. If it was a hard one, know that grace was still there, even in the quiet. And if you're somewhere in between — well, friend, pull up a chair.

That's most of us most of the time.

He is risen. And that is enough.

With a full heart,

Frances
